It has been a problem for me. After five months of using light, the message "cover open" computer monitor screen, accompanied by flashes of light on the printer. The printer does not print when it happened until the top cover up and close it again. The message appears often, sometimes every two or three minutes. Sometimes one or two days was not the problem occurs. I finally called HP support and spent about an hour on the phone two separate times to try to resolve the problem. Most of the time was suspended. Both times we had to wait about 20 minutes to speak acually a technician. I use the word "technical" loosly - the technician spent most of his time reading scripts of what to try next. If the replacement (refurbished) printer arrived, it was a bare-bones alternative - it does not use a print head, cartridge, or a back door I had to get transferred to those of the old printer. If I did, and I tried the new printer, I had the same message "cover open". But now I had a clue, and play around for a few, I discovered that if I pressed in the rear cover, the light went out, so I studied back cover, a little look there on a rather fragile-looking contact spring, and behold, the flashing lights and an error message is gone and stayed away. I kept my old printer that also changed the rear and refurbished replacement for HP cleverly worked. So far I have not had more problems with the printer. I do not know why the error not tell you what is open or why the engineers are not the chosen path to ask me to try different things out ????? So here's my summary review of the printer: PROS has a good job printing is better than the four old Canon large format, that it replaced, but printers are generally much better at four years. It does not feed very often wrong, but when that happens, un-jamming is a real hastle. CONS HP techical support is very bad in my opinion. I tried online FAQs and the HP forum before using the phone. Ink cartridges are very expensive. A complete set of high-capacity HP cartridges repacement costs about $ 115. It shakes the table when printing. You might want to look at other options, although the price of the HP seems to be the lowest for printers of this type. 3 of 3 people found this review helpful. No major problems for nearly two years by John Samadi Like the previous reviewer, I use it for printing on 11x17. It is almost two years Jams and some ink replacement (the unit uses more ink than I expected), I have not done anything for it. It pays to consider the cost surprise $ 200 two years ago. 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Worst printer I've ever used. H by Eric Strange, I thought I already gave this a 1 star review, but seems to be gone. Well, I hate this printer enough to justify writing again. We went through two of our headquarters, and that in our remote offices are terrible. The former has suffered mechanical problems from almost day, even with only moderate use. It would be good Jam 15 (!) Pages at a time. Wipe the rollers with alcohol temporarily relieved, but hardly something that should not need to do on an almost weekly. With respect to driver issues, all 3 of these little ... for example by pressing it completely blank sheets, cutting edge, etc. After much trial and error and discussions with HP support, we found that using a deskjet 990c driver (of all things) at least the blank page issue fixed, but many problems with margins of the document being cut (which was right in the trailer) remain Admittedly, this is unlikely to do much.

The only good quality was that it was well cheap. The old adage "you get what you pay for" could never be more true. Below is a list of problems I encountered: 1 For most of his view, there is no more paper if you jam the paper into the tray up with a good amount of force 2 If you are in a new cartridge, which is alarming frequent set, cartridge adapted. This process can be time consuming and frustrating. You need to scan a sheet that you first print. If you lost the sheet that can not print a new focus, because obviously the cartridge before you print. 3rd Paper jams are common, or at least the printer thinks it is, so you're always looking to jam error. Both real and imaginary. 4th The error messages appear constantly on the computer and seem to slow down the processing speed of computers, I learned to disconnect the printer when not in use to avoid this complication. 5. You better not be pressed when you copy or print because you will be waiting with his hand for a few minutes. 6. The scans are sent to your user account, but not always what you are connected. You may need to ask your teenage son for his password because the scanner can be easily saved as documents. The last time I tried to scan a three-page document kept scanning the upper half of the page, the page flpped I thought, I can get the bottom half. Nan the top half. I swear I heard a laugh that emit manical from the printer. 7. One is forced to spend 10 minutes writing an online journal or two, because you're so disgusted with the printer / scanner / copier that does not like one of the three. In short do not buy this printer. Take the $ 100 dollar buy tickets, you have as much chance of winning the lottery who successfully complete the three prints in the series. 17 of 18 people found the following review helpful. Not sure if it's worth by Jennifer Davenport My husband showed me this wireless printer for Christmas so I could print from my laptop without a printer directly to your computer, because we have limited space where my laptop. The wireless connection is so slow that it's easier and faster to just move my laptop to the printer and plug in the USB cable. Even if I do, 95% of the time the printer tells me of paper if I do not. I have to really push the paper into the feeder, sometimes works and sometimes not. The quality of printed photos is not good for a printer that calls itself the "Photosmart". I did not think the quality was decent stick figure in a frame or give as a gift ... maybe just on the refrigerator or something. And even though my laptop is connected by cable to the printer, photo printing is a little slow on a positive note, the scanner is fast and very easy to use! I'm still a debate on the return to Costco (where we bought it). It was a great gift idea in theory. 8 of 8 customers found this review helpful. Do not buy this printer, do not waste your money. By Xu Xianbao I bought an HP Photosmart C4750 printer recently. There was no problem for me to configure the wireless connection for the printer. The HP Photosmart C4750 has a fixed IP address in my home network. The problem is that the printer loses the wireless connection to keep! Every time I had to stop the printer and install the software for HP Photosmart C4700 series, without having to reinstall the wireless connection will never go back. Once the connection is established, it is lost in ~ 1 or 2 hours. The "wireless" feature for the name of the printer is just a decoration. Do not buy the HP Photosmart Wireless.

Huber HP printers I've owned in the first game for the past 15 years, but had sporadic problems with my primary printer, photo printer HP D360. I was tired of troubleshooting with HP, so I decided to give up and go with Lexmark Prevail Pro705. I looked around and did not really do much research before buying. I knew that I would try a new producer and was hoping to get a multifunction devices. I was in an office supply store and asked if it was comparable to the quality of HP Lexmark, and I have personally seen that there was not much difference in quality. The Pro705 Prevail was the new model at the time of purchase (October 14, 2009). This is my first purchase from Lexmark and is very happy. The most attractive to me about this particular model, the number of functions (fax, scanner, copier, printer), the 5-year warranty and printing costs slightly less than the HP ink cartridge for claims about 200 copies more than the HP 02 ink cartridges, so that (ideally) the most impressions for less money. After unpacking the printer, the first thing I tried to set the Windows Vista computer last, connect via USB cable (included). I could print a test page, but struggled to print images, the progress bar goes only to 30% or less. I contacted tech support to solve my problem. They spent four hours trying to set things while remotely connected to my computer, no luck. At the end of the first aid session that was worse was that the printer is struggling to print a test page. Fortunately, my problem promoted to second level support I was able to contact the next day. After two hours of troubleshooting, I was told that this was an issue that could be submitted to the software engineering team, I was ready for the printer to grab it back, but decided to talk to the technician that I had another computer (a netbook), which had Windows XP and if it would make a difference. The technician recommended that I try to install the printer when the USB cable. I followed your instructions later that evening and was able to install the printer and print anything, including photos, perfect. After that, I thought I try to print via wireless (instead of USB) from my Vista PC and everything worked perfectly. Apparently there are still some bugs to be worked for Vista, or is it possible that my Vista computer issues that the defective printer via USB can be prevented. Since I also had problems with HP, I think that it is possible that the settings on my computer is the culprit Lexmark tech support said that the questions seemed to be connected to a firewall on my computer, but we've disabled this and still had the problem. Support persons were very helpful and spoke good English, although in another country. If it were not for the difficulty I encountered while installing the printer on Vista, and lengthy technical support calls, I gave a review of 5 stars. There are many pros: the prints are very similar in quality to my HP D360. The printer makes noise when printing, but much less than my old printer. The wireless feature of this printer is a lifesaver and it was very easy to deal with the included software (I'm using a DLink Wireless N Router with WPA). It seems that it is also possible to configure the wireless capabilities of the printer, but I have not tried. The copy functionality for the printer works well, it took less than 30 seconds to make a copy and it looks very clean, although some colors (like light gray) showed a slightly darker on the copy. There is also an "eco" setting that automatically copies on two sides of the page. This is a great feature and saves paper, what I want. Eco-Mode.

HP support needs to improve - with sleeping problem Soar UPDATE 12/11/2010: There have been performing a firmware update for more than a week .... blocked while the printer once, it could have been due to a power fluctuation. Overall, the question in the following WITH seems to be solved until now. While the printer is fine, HP still gets 2 stars for how this was handled (should answer a number of positions in their support forum for their new product .. also disappointed that an issue as it did through a test, they do .) ORIGINAL REVIEW: Pros: - The printer was relatively easy to install wireless ... worked for a mixture of Windows 7 x64-based computers and laptops for Windows XP (all wireless) - Print speed is fast and the quality of the documents is pretty typical - photo printing on photo paper looked great - Both trays supplied with the printer, one for plain paper and one for photo paper is a great idea Cons: (arrrghhh. frustrating scam, then the deduction of 3 stars.) - The printer should go to sleep and you wake up often ... should disconnect and reconnect the power cord from the printer to restart the printer (it takes some time, the printer takes about a minute or re-supply). I studied the issue on the HP site forums and found a number of users had the same problem. There is a firmware update to correct this problem, in fact, there is no evidence that HP recognizes that this is a problem and does it meet ... Correction and only help ... Forum, an HP employee (who strives to emphasize it is useful and not respond to an HP authorized representative) is the only ray of light .. It offers a very nice step by step details on how the problem (in fact, the dynamic change to static IP on the printer) to solve. While I was very comfortable to do that, I see most users do not feel comfortable doing it effectively and are left with a printer that is every day. HP really need to come together and their belongings at least something to say in the sense that they work on the subject. Disappointed with HP support. At this point, I would not recommend this printer to anyone except those with a higher average level of knowledge of the technology. 75 of 81 people found the following review helpful. Best printer once owned by Thomas Paul There are many qualities that must be considered when evaluating a printer. This printer is almost perfect in all of them. The first is the ease of configuration. Setting up the printer was a breeze, I sat on the table, plugged it, lit it and took the printer there. The screen told me what to do and when. Ink installation was simple. It is connected to my Wi-Fi easily (wirelessly) and was ready to go in minutes. Wi-Fi is great, so you can carry the printer at home so it's always about you and your laptop when you go from kitchen to living room. The quality of the prints? The prints were as good as professional prints sitting in my photo album. (I use HP glossy paper that came with your printer.) And the scanner works quickly and with excellent quality. The printer has some interesting features that let you perform some functions without using a computer. Need a last minute holiday greeting? Bored and want a quick game of Sudoku? Planning a trip and need a map? (Not MapQuest, Google Maps, though.) ) The printer has a small screen that you choose a nice selection of applications, and if HP releases API for applications to write, I'm sure it will be much more available for a few odd little problems were possible. When I moved the printer the first time, applications have problems accessing certain pages until I ran through the installation again. The touch screen takes a little practice and I found myself with the applications when I was trying to scroll before them. But it was a.
