Whealton I looked hard enough in brochures in the last months of waiting for a chance to own a color laser printer with a price range that do not have to eat my lunch package points to make up months. A business to the local office were two models I eying a 1600 HP and one was. They seemed very similar in almost every respect to the 100 [...] CLP-300 U.S. dollar fell below the HP. It was time to seize the opportunity. This is the second Samsung laser printer I have in my office at home now, the first being the small ML-1740th I had this for over a year now and it was wonderful. I had to try not afraid to Samsung CLP-300, because his name is not as big as HP. So I go home and begin to implement. As with the previous ML-1740, about 5 minutes to unpack it, has switch cable, connect the toner packs and fire it up. Do not skip a beat and had a test page that is done in a flash driver for the team was just as easily. Overall a very, very simple to configure. Return to ink "packages" (or standards) a bit ... I do not think I've seen a simple toner system. This system is literally easier to treat than the inkjet cartridge replacement. Printer's front cover opens to reveal four "holes" of toner cartridges. Simply remove the protective covers of the three color cartridges and one black cartridge and pop in their respective holes. This has to be a step forward for the world the laser printer. Anyway, I just had this for about a week, but have put the best 200 pages of it already. Works like a champ and I'm very happy to have caught. I will list below some of the pros and cons as I see (in no particular order): Pros: Low noise level during printing ... even very low noise. His little more than a humming sound. * Fast printing (about 20 to 25 seconds to first print quality and very fast once started) * Great driver gives you great printing options like duplex printing, booklet printing (long or short side of the page), watermarks , pre-generated letterhead, the ability to have multiple pages per sheet printing, the ability to print posters, etc. .. ... Too many to mention. * Decent color prints. The quality is not quite up to the picture quality of the best inkjet photo, but good. And it's not bad enough to be a negative. I would say that if your primary goal is to print photos you may want to compare other more expensive models before settling on this one. Otherwise it should suit you fine. * Size ... it fits perfectly on my printer stand. This does not over power the space is too thick. It is not much bigger than the smaller ML-1740 and how his older brother, the CLP-510 (I found the built-sided in 510, but did not love everything about the size) Cons: * Power ... it seems that a little more than the ML-1740 (no surprise I'm sure) used, because my battery backup a click every few minutes, when a brown out peak occurs. The ML-1740 makes the lights flicker in time, but had no effect on the UPS. On a related note, however, this printer has a user-selectable power-saving mode that puts you to sleep after a certain number of minutes. * Low paper capacity. Only about 150-sheet paper tray. But it is easy to remove and fill, and I doubt I always more than one session to print. No front auxiliary input tray (such as ML-1740) to power various paper machine. The CLP-300 takes a number of paper sizes, but you have to use the paper. * Power switch on the back. The ML-1740 also had this configuration. How hard can it be to put the button on the front or front to make it more accessible, better yet, let the unit on and off automatically by the software as some other printers can do. Switch all the way back, go ahead.

I'm on my second replacement printer (my CX7000F third overall) and also does not work. This model will tell you a ink cartridge needs replacing. I lost a couple hundred dollars extra for more than ink, because I'm the cartridge that came from the store was used. Then I learned that this is an Epson problem. I will call tech support on Monday. This saga has been ongoing since May. (From July). I thank you for sending me the Epson-compatible printer, but works no longer of any use. I do not know who is doing the production, but has the leg of a component. Too bad for Epson, because you will never buy another of their printers again. DO NOT BUY! 10 of 13 people found this review helpful. Frustration with J. Lavin, I have bought the printer I already CX7000F Printer RX500 and was very receipt of the printer and download drivers from Epson will be the one to be satisfied with my operating system, Vista Home Premium working, I tried to load the driver. The printer driver installed easily and works very well. The scanner driver does not install, and I spent more than two hours on the phone with Epson to no avail. They told me it was not their problem, and that I should reload the operating system. The scanner and fax both work well as a standalone unit, but I can not access it via the computer. To make matters worse, I had the camera for about 2 weeks and have only a few black and white documents from MS Word and the Internet and my ink to be printed by 36% the four cartridges. At this point I want to see it as a lesson and send the unit into the window of 30 days. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful DO NOT buy this printer. NO! Save yourself. By Jillian N. Danley If I could rate this negative stars I would. Absolutely the worst printer / office equipment I've ever had or worked with (and I worked with a lot). 1) Is or will not be printed or jam. I would say that my grip on printing ration is 50:1. The chances are incredibly terrible as the primary function of a printer, you know, print. This is by far my biggest complaint, because it is not even perform basic functions. 2) ... as it reacts completely. For unexplained reasons, sometimes there just pending documents, completely ignoring an order to him. 3) Be prepared to blow your savings on the ink. I printed out four pages of the test, when I set it, because they kept coming out funny. After these four test pages for my ink was 80-90% GONE. I was so furious I called Epson, and for their benefit, they sent me a series of ink. But not all the time, then dig deep into your wallet, because (if you can get it to print) that will put $ 60 a month just inked If your main goal for this printer are images, so beware. You'll probably have 4 4x6 before they need new cartridges. 4) CARE LINUX users. The only function that works with Linux is the aspect of printing. The scanner does not work with Linux. What worked well in Windows, although the software is very limited and scanning is slow. If you want to skip this review and most others, so be prepared for a night of many going berserk and torn by pulling the inner workings of this "printer", spending $ 60 a month ink and frustration, often incredibly poor. The piece is truly horrible, horrible equipment, unfortunately. See all 22 customer reviews ....

The best feedback from customers on July 7 people found the following review helpful. J. Lane, consider other options you should consider other options before buying this printer. It has been a problem for me. After five months of using light, the message "cover open" computer monitor screen, accompanied by flashes of light on the printer. The printer does not print when it happened until the top cover up and close it again. The message appears often, sometimes every two or three minutes. Sometimes one or two days was not the problem occurs. I finally called HP support and spent about an hour on the phone two separate times to try to resolve the problem. Most of the time was suspended. Both times we had to wait about 20 minutes to speak acually a technician. I use the word "technical" loosly - the technician spent most of his time reading scripts of what to try next. If the replacement (refurbished) printer arrived, it was a bare-bones alternative - it does not use a print head, cartridge, or a back door I had to get transferred to those of the old printer. If I did, and I tried the new printer, I had the same message "cover open". But now I had a clue, and play around for a few, I discovered that if I pressed in the rear cover, the light went out, so I studied back cover, a little look there on a rather fragile-looking contact spring, and behold, the flashing lights and an error message is gone and stayed away. I kept my old printer that also changed the rear and refurbished replacement for HP cleverly worked. So far I have not had more problems with the printer. I do not know why the error not tell you what is open or why the engineers are not the chosen path to ask me to try different things out ????? So here's my summary review of the printer: PROS has a good job printing is better than the four old Canon large format, that it replaced, but printers are generally much better at four years. It does not feed very often wrong, but when that happens, un-jamming is a real hastle. CONS HP techical support is very bad in my opinion. I tried online FAQs and the HP forum before using the phone. Ink cartridges are very expensive. A complete set of high-capacity HP cartridges repacement costs about $ 115. It shakes the table when printing. You might want to look at other options, although the price of the HP seems to be the lowest for printers of this type. 3 of 3 people found this review helpful. No major problems for nearly two years by John Samadi Like the previous reviewer, I use it for printing on 11x17. It is almost two years Jams and some ink replacement (the unit uses more ink than I expected), I have not done anything for it. It pays to consider the cost surprise $ 200 two years ago. 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Worst printer I've ever used. H by Eric Strange, I thought I already gave this a 1 star review, but seems to be gone. Well, I hate this printer enough to justify writing again. We went through two of our headquarters, and that in our remote offices are terrible. The former has suffered mechanical problems from almost day, even with only moderate use. It would be good Jam 15 (!) Pages at a time. Wipe the rollers with alcohol temporarily relieved, but hardly something that should not need to do on an almost weekly. With respect to driver issues, all 3 of these little ... for example by pressing it completely blank sheets, cutting edge, etc. After much trial and error and discussions with HP support, we found that using a deskjet 990c driver (of all things) at least the blank page issue fixed, but many problems with margins of the document being cut (which was right in the trailer) remain Admittedly, this is unlikely to do much.
